Ceramic Ball Valves for Polysilicon Industry
Polysilicon is produced from metallurgical grade silicon powder by a chemical purification process, and metallurgical grade silicon, also called MG-Si, is obtained by using SiO2 as raw material. In this process, the raw material and mid-products include silicone powder, Hydrogen chloride gas (HCL), Silicon tetrachloride (SiHCl3, STC), Silicon tetrachloride (SiCl4), Dichlorosilane (SiH2Cl2), Hydrogen (H2).
Silicon powder is high abrasive and wet HCL gas is very corrosive and
dangerous for health and environment. While H2 gas is also dangerous since
flammable and explosive. Valves play a very important role in these polysilicon
production process, and corrosion-resistance, abrasion-resistance, high quality,
and longer working life are all required to improve the stability and reduce
maintenance.
Foyo ceramic ball valves have bubble tight shut off (Class VI) and low
emissions of packing and gaskets. Thanks to the excellent properties and extreme
hardness, Foyo can provide the best valve and pipe fitting solutions for all the
positions in these applications.
