Lime Slurry Handling of FGD System in Coal Fired Power Plants
Ceramics full lined ball valves reduce emissions of Sox (So2) from coal fired power plants.
Wet desulfurization FGD system play a critical role in reducing emissions of Sox from coal fired power plants. However, the abrasive and corrosive limestone slurry used in this process demands valves of high levels of reliability. Foyo valves provided the solution for this problem in coal fired power plants.
The reduction of emissions of Sox (SO2) from coal fired power plants enables power plants to comply with the Large Combustion Plant Directive which came into effect this year. For the Global power generation industry, the additional benefits of this technology allows larger plants with a thermal output above 60 MW to burn indigenous reserves of higher Sulphur content coal at a lower cost.
After Installing 4 pcs Foyo’s ceramic full lined ball valves in May 2011, Taishan Power plant has benefited from them. Before that, the end users use rubber lined butterfly valves and have to replace these rubber lined butterfly valves several times every year. However, since Foyo’s ceramic ball valves are used, they never change the valves in recent five years, which saved a lot of maintenance and replacement cost.
